This work was created as part of the project Shadow Phenomena. It is designed as a modular piece and comprises 4 objects, of which I am showing two here.
The background of this work cycle is research and reflections on the „Long Shadows of History.“ The current reality and the past are the constituents, the starting point in this context.
In Shadow Phenomena I materialize shadows of unknown origin into the material steel. In doing so, I work on geometric basic shapes with heat. The steel deforms, and at the same time a drawing emerges: Sculpting and drawing steel with heat.
So far, there exist Running Shadows 2019, Rolling Shadows 2019, Wandering Shadows 2023, Fleeting Shadows 2025.
